Research Interest:
My long-term objective is to determine how processes such as dispersal, interpecific interactions and environmental heterogeneity interact in spatially structured and dynamic landscapes to influence the spatial patterns of species composition and diversity within plant communities and at the landscape level. This involves the development of analytical tools needed to infer processes from their spatial signature in the presence of confounding effects, and empirical studies aimed at understanding how landscape management affects biodiversity patterns at different spatial scales by changing landscape connectivity and altering the dominant processes in local communities.
